Creative ways to work with anxious children.

Valley Trust was delighted to welcome Tracey Brittain who delivered an excellent day of training for the Counsellors.

They spent time looking at common manifestations of anxiety and creatively exploring the process in the brain, showing how this can be demonstrated to children and adolescents in a fun and informative way.

Part of the day was dedicated to the exploration of sand tray work and how it can be useful to ascertain family dynamics and areas of anxiety.  The Counsellors looked at some of the underlying theory of sand tray work and how that can help to interpret the trays.

They also worked on creative ways to look at how children can increase their resilience and build their understanding of how they can move through dark times effectively.
